The First Lord receives a "hats off" cheer by the ships company on board HMS Exeter, February 15, 1940. The Exeter had just returned to port in the south of England after playing a significant role in the destruction of the German battleship Admiral Graf Spee in "The Battle of the River Plate," December 1939.
